When Luigi Balestra ended his involvement in the Star and Soling series, he decided to compete in Mediterranean IMS and IRC racing.
To this end, he sourced some of the best racing yachts available, first the IMX-38, then the IMX-40 and, last but not least, the Ker 39. Having equipped the boats with top of the range sails and electronics, he then put together a team of experienced sailors able to compete at professional level, whilst retaining a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout. The end result is the Maluba Sailing Team, and a commitment to high competition and pure enjoyment of the seas. |
